What in the world is a "cylinder pin"?
Please use standard nomenclature when asking questions about mowers and engines. Either that, or take it to a repair shop and have them fix it!

The cylinder pin is standard "nomenclature" describing a legitimate part from the original Troy-Bilt parts catalogs (I have copies from several earlier models in my files). I've attached cropped section of an exploded view of the cylinder. I don't know if the pins are still available from the MTD take-over company - but you can try the link below. If all else fails - make your own.

I just purchased a new cylinder pin set from an ebay vendor for $50.00. The guy sells the belt, flails, bearings, and chipping knife as well.

Which ebay vendor did you buy from? I've also have an older Super Tomahawk. I could use a new set of locator spacers (long ones with roll pin hole). I see a number of vendors selling flails, none advertise the spacers that I can see.

My bad! I thought the guy needed a wrist pin! I'm not well informed on chippers. I had one here, and after a year of occasional work, i gave the owner his $50, then sold it to a friend for $50, just to get rid if it. I made it run, but i don't have the strength any more in my arms, to pull the starter rope, having all of that heavy innards that must be turned when pulling the rope to start it!

Rusty, the Super Tomahawk is easy to pull start. The clutch is disengaged when you are pulling so you aren't fighting the inner workings like on direct drive units.
