I water all my GH plants by hand. When the weather was warmer I used the hose with a water-wand or water-rose. I have a hand sprayer to mist the plants. No running water in our 2 GHs.

Taylor, I have a mist bench with a pair of standard brass mist nozzles. I usually use this for cuttings, but sometimes I also use it for seeds. This time of year I don't run the mist. It has a timer which cycles, generally 10 sec every 10 minutes, but maybe more or maybe less depending on cloud cover, time of year, temp, and rooting status of the cuttings.

As for the containers, I water by hand like greenhouser.

You're gonna have to be somewhat careful as a collection of heavy water droplets between mistings is not wanted. That's where (and all growers will say this) you need to find what works for you.

Timely question. I just finished digging a trench (literally minutes ago) and running a 3/4" PVC pipe under the wood frame of my HFGH.

Although I had already piped in drip line on a timer and valve, I've found that the plants in the greenhouse need more specialized treatment. In other words, out in the garden, a number of plants get the same amount of water, even if they prefer more or less. Sort of a survival of the fittest thing. In the greenhouse, I tend to be more of a nurturer.

I ran the pipe along the end to the center. Attached an elbow, and ran a piece vertical to the apex of the roof line. I intend to purchase one of those curly hoses you can find at Lowe's, etc. I will attache a support to the hose on the top beam. To the hose I will attach a variable nozzle - one that can mist, shower, spray, jet, etc.

No more running the hose through the door. I especially dislike this in the winter when I want to water plants, but not let the warm moist air escape.
