chainsaw help

I have a sthil 028 wood boss. probably 30+ years old.

choke it once it starts just fine. it runs a little rough at idle but once on the throttle it hums. i make a few good cuts and it dies or i cut it off. it will start back but its really rough and dies if i give it any throttle. sometimes i can get it to pick up if i feather the throttle. but it seems once it gets hot that's it until it cools off.

filter and carb look clean fairly new plug. i think the key is once it gets hot it doesn't like to run at all.

any suggestions?
