The 110 has more than enough power. You are wise to go with the straight shaft edger, the curved shaft unit does not stand up well. The shaft is weak.
It works best by walking backwards pulling the machine. Stick edgers are hard to control going forward, they tend to wander.

I have a edger attachment for my ryobi 775r with a 31cc engine. my engine is rated at 1hp and you need to keep the revs up for it to work well. The kombi 110 has more power than my ryobi, so you should be fine. I agree with the post above. Walk backwards while edging otherwise the edger will take you for a ride.

Thanks for your responses. I would never have thought of trying to edge with it going backwards. Which direction does the blade turn in, assuming I get the straight shaft? Does it try to pull you ahead, or push you back? I thought the wheels would give it stability and it would work mainly in the forward direction. I guess I have a lot to learn about these so-called Stick Edgers. Charles Ranheim

The blade wants to pull the machine forward so the operator would literally chase it if going in the same direction.
