Check for a bright blue spark . You may have to prime the saw with carb cleaner and see if it trys to fire. If so then carb cleaning has not resolved you issues. Try checking the carb filter screen under the diaphram within the carb base. If clear ensure the inlet needle valve is free (moving) allowing fuel to enter the carb metering circuits (jet orifices) which you can use carb spray and tag wire to clean further. Also get some concentrated fuel cleaner and add some to fresh fuel . You should get results if your compression and ignition components are sound.

have you checked the fuel line for flow?
