Go to a mower repair shop and buy the correct hose that you need. Tell them the model no. and other numbers. When you get the correct size hose--do this: Use a piece of hose 5-6 inches longer than you need. on one end, using a razor blade knife, cut the hose to a long taper, back about 3-4 inches. lubricate the hose and the hole, then work the tapered end of the hose into the tank. When you get enough into the tank,cut off the taper to enable you to install the fuel filter, then pull the hose back out the hole, leaving enough inside to flop around in the tank. Mount the tank, then install the hose onto the carb, leaving a small loop section outside the tank.

I think i have it fixed. what i was trying to say is, the fuel filter nipple that the hose connects to is supposed to come through the hole with the gas line attached( atleast thats how it was when i removed it). It took a while but i did it. I would reccomend buying a larger fuel line and filter that fits and do what the previos poster said with the hose and filter.
