make sure everything is clean;the inlet screen etc. Take a flashlight and look inside were the hose connects and make sure nothing is inside.To do a simple test;connect the hose,turn on the water,and WITHOUT starting the pressure washer,squeeze the trigger on the gun;you should have a steady stream of water coming out,about the same as a kids water gun;like a super soaker;If not,then your problem is something is restricting the water inlet,or if the washer is old,mineral deposits inside a passage.If it does squirt out pretty good,then your washer is tired,or you used a cleaner that's NOT compatible with pressure washer seals,or maybe the unloader is stuck,and won't allow the washer to build pressure...........If it's getting a good supply of water,the only thing that builds pressure is the seals,and the unloader.Other than that,there is a small passage were the outlet is,and that could be restricted with mineral deposits,but I would take apart the hose and check for debris in the line,to be sure Hope this helps.....marc

push the reset button on the plug that goes into the wall. This happens to the one I use all the time.

I have a little Sears pressure washer that does not spray. Found that there is a plastic "bladder" in the handle that is connected to a plastic hose that goes to a pressure switch in the unit. The switch turns on the pressure. The bladder has a hole worn in it. Tried to patch it but it didn't work. Planning to jumper the switch and plug the cord into a home made box with a GFCI recpt and switch. Then I will have to go to the switch box every time I want to turn on the pressure.

If the motor runs, I would look at the un-loader or the intake valves of the pump. If dirt or grit gets under the valve it will hold the valve open and the pump will not pump pressure.

I have one of these that has a different problem.

The motor pulses on/off when it's turned on and the water isn't being sprayed. Also seems the pressure spray isn't as strong as it used to be.

For the amount of use it gets, I haven't paid much attention to it, but if it's an easy fix that would be great.

Any suggestions? The inlet filter appears very clean.

Depends on what you call"easy".....when the machine pulses on/off,does the spray vary with the on/off sound.if it does,remove the spray tip so there's no load on the pump,and see if it still does it.....if it does.......sounds as though your machine needs brushes(if it's the same basic machine as mine)Or some other ELECTRICAL problem................

Perhaps posting wasn't clear.

The motor pulses when the power is turned on, and when it's not actively spraying.

The motor does not pulse when it's actively spraying, it pulses on/off only when power is turned on and the trigger isn't pulled.

When it is spraying, the pressure doesn't seem as high as when it was new.

Is there any water leaking from the pump head, or does the unit have low pressure when the trigger is pulled?? I have a problem with my black and decker pressure washer based on my troubleshooting the problem run all the way into the motor coil winding. Do you think the copper coil winding in the motor broken somewhere and yes how do we fix that?
