The fan may have come loose. As long as there is no damage you may just need to tighten the nut.

Thanks for the reply.

I checked the unit before I took it in for service. It sounded like there was a marble rolling around inside the crankcase. Fan and flywheel were tight. Did have alot of oil on the flywheel side so possibly a seal is out too? I kept hoping that the rattle would go away but you just know it wont. Only thing that would quiet it down was running it at 20:1 over 50:1 and even then the vibration was terrible. Wouldnt even run when I took it in so its toast.

The Husky dealer charged me $40 to evaluate it because I did not buy it at their store. I thought this was bad business and Im done with Husqvarna. This is the second time in 8 months that this piece quit. The first time I had problems the muffler housing burned through from the converter, and then it cracked and fell off, this was in July.
