most time those reset buttons take there slow time about cooling off so reset set. Some resets after clicking off many time they lose there ability to hold and need replacing. If says on tag that double insulated motor I replace the set switch. First check see if motor turns easy unpluged.

Check where the cord goes in the wacker, the wires will often break there. Plug it in, turn it on and wiggle the wire there, if it tries to take off it's a broken wire. Steve

Wow, I didn't think anybody else had one of these. I found one at a garage sale five years ago for ten dollars (what a steal!!!!). After five years of use, it has a bearing going out in the bottom and squeals like crazy! I looked up my model number on Sears, but could only buy the motor as a unit for eighty dollars. I was patient and found a Flowtron leaf shredder on Amazon for ninety dollars with free shipping, I thought this was a good buy as I shred MASSIVE amounts of leaves every year. I got the LE-900, and see that they are at $150.00, I would say that if you could be patient until next year, keep an eye on this one as it will more than likely be on sale again at a different time of year.I know it's hard to pay that kind of money when you get such a good deal on the first one, but if I hadn't of bought the first one at that garage sale, I probably wouldn't have known how impressive these things work. Well worth it to me! No, I haven't thrown the other one away, I will come up with some sort solution and happily pass it on to the next like minded gardener.
