Rainbird WR2 Wireless Sensor - Setting Rainfall

I had my system installed this spring and just getting around to figuring out the rainfall sensor. I have the ability to set the rainfall sensor from 1/8" to 1/2" before it shuts off the irrigation system. Question: My lawn is mainly clay, so what amount of rainfall should I set the sensor to?
