how long since u started it last and or how old is your gas?? kind of sounds like theres dirt in your gas or something. i would maybe try carb cleaning/low air pressure cleaning ur carb and flushing ur gas system. im also thinking maybe a sticky float in the carn bowl....take the carb apart and soak in your favorite cleaning solution(kerosene or bottle form carb cleaner.) it's hard to tell without actually being by the engine.

another thought...does it have a low-oil shutdown by any chance...sounds like wat my ****** generator has been doing to me.

Try it with your gas cap loose.

If that solves your problem, buy a new cap!

This may be a dumb suggestion, but make sure the fuel shutoff valve is in the full open position. I always shut it off after using it. If I forget to turn it back on, it runs for a minute or two before it stops. Charles Ranheim
