My faithfull Sears/MTD snowblower born 1995 has suffered what is possibly a fatal failure.

While going through a light 4 or so inch snowfall, the cover over the drive mechanism burst up and the blower stalled.

The driveshaft wheel to the augurs has bent with the wheel at a very sick angle. Looked at the sears parts site. Lots of bits to take apart to get to the shaft.

I think that I'm going to get another snowblower and park this in the shed for springtime repair. The engine (Tecumseh) is still good.
