if its a 4 stroke it won't hurt nothing. I would try to spray the carb. cleaner directly into the carb. with it running at WOT and the air cleaner off. do this in short 2 or 3 second blasts then let the engine catch back up and repeat several time. Sometimes this will unclog or ungum the carb. out. If you have a two stroke don't add too much to delute you oil/gas mixture.
