I have an older sprinkler system and the control box seems to have died.

The wires were as follows:

One orange

Three red

Two white

(there was also one spare orange)

The system had 4 zones working and I don't know how to tell what is the common, pump, etc. (actually, I know nothing about sprinklers).

Does anyone have any tips or suggestions on how to figure out what type of control box to buy and how to wire it?

The old unit was made by a company that was bought out twice and now owned by black & decker so I can't track down a manual or anything that would help me decode the wires!

Thanks
