Hi,

I really don't know anything about trees. We have two large Japanese maples in front of house that are a little out of control - branches graze head when walking up front path, branches touching front of house. Can they be pruned this time of year or do I need to wait until fall?

Is it true that it is impossible to grow grass under these trees (our experience to date and what I have been told?) Seems no matter how much we seed and water, no grass will stay.
