Its ok for them to be in there, they eat decomposing material.

Are grubs particularly beneficial in a compost pile? Not really. Are grubs particularly harmful in a compost pile? Not really. Do they need to be there? Not really. While grubs do consume your compost they are not particularly good for finished compost since they do not do to the waste material you compost what the bacteria that you want digesting it do. Simply because some critter eats the material yo put into the compost pile does not necessarily mean that critter is beneficial to your compost. Skunks also eat what is put into compost bins, but I can think of no one that would say they are beneficial.

Grubs do provide a benefit to compost piles. They break large pieces raw vegetable matter into smaller waste material that is easier for bacteria and worms to eat.

Grub poo makes good compost.

Skunks are beneficial, as is any other living organism on the planet. We may just not appreciate their benefits...
