Since you are gutting it, you have so many options. Sounds like you're going for a French country or classic look with a clawfoot tub? Some elements to consider may be a pair of Venetian mirrors, marble floors, white cabinetry, nickel hardware (or antique brass), wall sconces, chandelier over tub (assuming separate shower). Very elegant.

I'm of the View to gut it , but I read ,you said about the cost factor for the W.C , So how much have you set aside as Clawfoot tub alone will cost you a Bomb ! lol

It's difficult to tell from your photos exactly what's going on in your bath. More pictures, plus dimension, would be exceedingly helpful, and would gain you better informed answers. I think before you start thinking about the details you need an overall plan. We'd love to help you with it but need more info to do so.

Thank you all! Carolyn, I will take more photos...... it's a small bath so hard to get the whole picture without standing on the counter. :) I will definitely give it a shot though.

It appears as though you have a sizeable vanity with room for dual sinks. For a master bath 2 sinks would be preferable to a pedestal sink. You also mention a claw foot tub as opposed to a shower. I'm seeing a lot of little bump outs and odd bulk heads that could really use the expertise of a kitchen/bath designer.

@michigammemom- It is a sizeable vanity ..but that toilet is kind of in the way if I were to put in another sink. My contractor and I discussed that. The bulk behind the toilet is where the plumbing is contained (it's upstairs) so I really can't move too many things around with out it getting costly..... I am pretty creative for the most part, and this is my second house to "redo"...so I'm excited to see what I can come up with and you all are helping me so much! :) I will take a few more pictures per Carolyn's suggestion and see if that helps .... thanks again!

Consider a used clawfoot and have resurfaced....paint outside the provencal color of your choice and perhaps a skirt made of small Provencal print. Shop auctions for an appropriately sized French sideboard and convert it to your lavatory/vanity. Hang a large French mirror (also can find at auctions) behind the tub to enlarge the space. An old French iron chandelier or small Marie Therese would add the final touch. BTW Where are you located?

@Mint Design; I will be located in Arlington, TX. I have actually been looking at antique sideboards, and old mirrors. Already bought some old outside lanterns for the exterior. :) I also know of a shop with used claw foot tubs, but -- I found a website with new ones for reasonable price...and free shipping. yeah.... thank you for the ideas!

Love that little window by the vanity you could dress it is lace curtains., you could put a storage tower on the flat part of the vanity, go with the French theme, Unless you love a tub, I'd do a large shower in that space makes the small MB luxurious. all from Tile America
