Hi folks,

I have what might be a stupid question, but I am hoping for some advice about composting some mature Pachysandra plants. I got more than I needed from a Freecycle offer, and ended up with quite a pile of mature plants. I haven't been able to give them away, and they are now pretty much ready to kick the bucket. I have an Earth Machine that I have had some success with, and I really don't want to waste the green material, so I am wondering if I can just toss them in the composter and clean up the yard.

The reason why I hesitate, though, is that I threw an old potato in last fall, and this summer I had a huge potato plant growing out all of the vents. What a mess! Experience tells me that Pachysandra is pretty aggressive about spreading, so would there be any "danger" in composting it? Should I just bag it for the curb and have done with it?

Thanks for any advice you might have. I really enjoy reading your posts, and I have learned a great deal from all of your responses.
