Its good you are leaving the cabinets and granite ,your floor looks good ,why change ?You are also adding an island that is not going to be the same color as the cabinet so that will be the centre of Attraction ? but do you have space for that island ?

we are putting an addition on which adds a breakfast room, and we would like to match the entire floor so we are ripping this one up and looking for one a bit darker. We will have room for an island once this reno is done

Yes, a darker hardwood floor or tile similar to the granite colour would be nice.

The cabinets look a bit pink on my laptop, I would love to see them warmed up. Not sure of your finish but could a warm brown glaze be applied to them. I would then picture a light maple floor and perhaps a black kitchen island with maple top a bit darker then the floor. This picture is the closest I can find at this late hour :)

Our maple cabinets and granite are very similar to yours. I like Susan Mills Design idea of the light maple hardwood flooring. That's what we have and I love it! I attached a photo so you can see what it looks like with the hardwood floor. A black island would look sharp. There is some black in your existing granite. Maybe you could put the same granite on a black island?
