Black Magic is a stunning rose, at least one of the best of those black-red HTs and my personal favorite HT. This is the first flower on mine this year.

I wanted to try again to document the difference in flower form between Black Garnet and the other red black HTs. Black Garnet is the only one I have, and the only one I know of, that has the thick full petal look instead of the more typical HT form. Again, its barely noticeable on the newly opened flowers but should be easily seen on the mature flowers. That is if the rain doesn't beat the flowers to death again before I can get a series of daily pictures.
