Um, I don't know much about fish other than bettas, but goldfish are cold-water fish and guppies are tropical, so by default they shouldn't go together.

Yes remove the goldie they like cool water. The ones that look almost like goldfish by your descriptions sound like platys(livebearer)try a fish profile on a search engine to confirm. The guppies are also livebearers. Livebearers breed heavily, but are horrible at parenting (they normally eat the fry). When the female is pregnant most people move it to a 5 gallon tank until it "gives birth" then remove her to the big tank.You can do this with a breeder net that hangs on the side of the tank. You can feed the fry speacial food that is just flake food that is fine or just grind some of the flake you are feeding the adults with your fingers into a fine powder. If you keep the pregnant fish in with the rest then you have to provide plenty of cover (a flat rock like slate proped up just a tiny bit to make a small cave or alot of low growing plants) the fry may survive this way. Or you can just let nature take its course and consider it free fish food.

I have sharks in my tank (that is what the shopkeeper told me that they are) and now one of them seems to be pregnant (the belly is swollen) I noticed it since 2days, is my fish pregnant and are they livebearers? How long is it by the time they give birth? And what is the proceedure that I need to follow and what shall I feed the fry once they are born? Plz suggest!

I rather suspect that it IS NOT pregnant. Goldfish, insofar as I know, have females that lay eggs that are fertilized by the male in the water.

i have several goldfish different sisez but how can i really tell if they are pregnant. two of them have belly kind of bigger than the rest
