My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

First Robins Sighted!!

Hi, I am from mid Michigan and I saw the first robins yesterday!! I am so excited that Spring is really here. I have sprouts, but I am cheating a little. I have an unheated, enclosed porch facing south and have my containers in the porch. My lettuce is up nicely, along with spinach, peas, beets and carrots. I am doing beets and carrots in their own containers so there will be no transplanting.

I have already started my tomatoes indoors and all of those have sprouted, as well as green peppers. The hot peppers that were started a month ago. Hopefully, I will be moving all of these plants to the porch in a few weeks.

I have my garden plans on paper and have ideas to capture more vegtable space from our small yard.

Wishing all the best for the upcoming season!! And thanks for all of the great winter reading.
