OK, I know I should have taken a picture, but didnt have my camera- But can anyone identify the type of azalea I saw today that has blooms all along the shaft of the branch, tightly circling it, like a sock of flowers around the branch. The tips of the branch had a few inches of bare new growth with just a few leaves. was the most unusual azalea I have ever seen!
