A warning, flowers change color some during their bloom. Most fade and some colors fade more like yellow blotches.

There are a couple ways to propagate from cuttings, do it yourself or send the cuttings to Kathy Van Veen in Portland, Oregon, and let her do it for you. More and more people have stopped doing it themselves and are letting Kathy do it. She sends them back bare-root, so it is very economical to let her do it.

i will say this, i never seen it turn yellow, but i do know its seems more purple than pink. the pictures make it look alot more pink then it is.

as for propagating them, i have a local "old school" farmer who is more than willing to teach me how to propagate and how to make cutings.
also how to make sand beds with a misting system. he spent a life time doing hydrangeas.

FYI if i start propagating it will be for retail so i will be doing a 100 or more of cuttings.
I guess im just sick of buying perennial plugs when theres something right in my yard that will save my some money.
How nice is it when you can tell a customer that the plant they are buying came from the one thats in full bloom right behind me....
