Need anything over the bed?
Comments (12)I'm fine with nothing over the bed. But, if you want something, I think three of these square mirrors over the bed would look great. Or...for a more budget friendly option, just get an inexpensive mirror (like a vertical mirror you hang behind a door) and hang it horizontally above the bed and silver leaf the cheap frame. It will look high end and sparkly. :) http://www.crateandbarrel.com/decorating-and-accessories/mirrors/dubois-wall-mirror/s154431...See MoreAccent Wall with Revere Pewter: Chelsea Gray or Kendall Charcoal?!?!?

Comments (177)***UPDATE*** Hey ladies! I'm back with both good news and well disappointing news. So my fabric samples came and let's just say I didn't like any of the samples from my mockup. :-( So I went out to pier 1 and home goods, purchased a few throw pillows in fabrics similar to the color scheme in the mockup and I wound up returning them. (I didn't even bother take pics of my space as I was so disappointed). But with all bad things there's a great end in sight. I left the room alone for a day and then I finally decided to purchase my white faux fur pillows. I chose two. And guess what? Even though they are white and my rug cream, I was loved them. I was immediately uplifted. What @havingfun said really registered, low level glam. I realized that I do like glam in my life and the rug and pillows are definitely a great starting point. But that's it. That is where I get lost and turn to my friends here on Houzz. I don't know how to balance glam with kid friendly and my frugal ways. Since I've changed directions again (for the 10th time) I created a new thread: https://www.houzz.com/discussions/help-me-create-a-contemporary-living-room-with-subtle-glam-dsvw-vd~3548526 Thanks again for all your help and if you're interested in helping me go into the new exciting direction, feel free to jump over there and comment. I appreciate everything. With every new idea, I'm getting closer to being happy. Hope to see you over there. Thanks again!...See MoreShall I go over to the dark side?
Comments (204)Hi Karen! Nice to see you here :) The bookcase hasn't been painted yet - my painter is very popular - but I have decided against going dark. I wanted to be sure of the effect, so I bought some brown/black wrapping paper and stuck it on the side panels and top shelves. It was oppressive! So it'll be lighter, not quite certain what shade it's going to be though. Happy New Year, everybody!!!...See MoreKimmsr
