That is an interesting project that you are contemplating Lloyd. It is kinda hard to tell how something will go over till you run it up the flag and see if anyone salutes, but it might just be a big hit.

Just a few thoughts off the top of my head. I do not know how things are in Canada, but I am disappointed with the path our Local Extension offices are taking, with much less service to the end user people who need them. I mention them because they could be instrumental in directing traffic to your site. Speaking of site, a simple website might help attract interested people.

I have not done anything like you propose, but would think that you would have to demonstrate starting with the most basic things, like a pile of greens and of browns, what they are, in the approximate ratios, (or at least a big picture of them on a 4' X 8' sheet of plywood) then a bin or pile where they had been combined and started, progressing on up to finished compost.

For the urban dweller, they could only look with shock and awe at the row of rotating cylinders you have for composting, so I think that you would need to give considerable thought to what kind of compost tumblers, bins or piles that they might be able to fit in with the asthetics of their own individual urban settings, or conform to their homeowner association's rules and regulations. Demonsrate to them that it can be relatively small, or as big as they dare to go.

If you have other chores to do and cattle to attend, you would probably have to schedule days and times for tours or demonstrations so that you could take care of your own business.

Keep us posted on what progresses from an idea conceived on a cold Canadien morning over a good, hot cuppa.
