We resently had Mannington Audra LVP professionally installed in over 1000 sq ft of our downstairs. In less than six months we have gaps and peaks where the flooring connects on the ends. We did file a claim with Mannington, it was denied without out even so much as a rep coming to look at it. Stay away.

Well, something in that process is not right. First of all, if you purchased from a reputable dealer, they should be the ones determining the issue here. If they are unable to ascertain what caused the problem, then a rep might be called in. If a rep didn't even inspect the floor, it might be because the dealer used an improper adhesive or underlayment. Consequently, it would be the fault of the installation crew and Mannington would have no reason to inspect.

Secondly, you can request a copy of the inspection report (or in this case, denial letter) which should set forth the reasons for turning your claim down. It may state the very reasons I mention above.

Lastly, I have been a dealer for over 40 years and I have never known Mannington to disregard a legitimate claim. As mentioned in my original post, there are certainly times when there may be an issue with the product. In my experience, they have always addressed these issues professionally.

My advice would be to contact the dealer from whom you purchased the floor. They are ultimately responsible for your satisfaction and it should be up to them to provide you with new flooring or an explanation as to why not.

The dealer, who is also very reputable, brought a rep out yesterday. My husband and I tried not to bother him with this and went straight to Mannington. So it was not that he dropped the ball. The reason we were given is hat they have not found where there is a problem with this floor, however in less than 15 minutes of research on our own we found at least 20 cases where people had filed a claim, all were denied.
