I like rainy's light too. Of course, I have no idea how big it is, so I tried to judge it by the canopy...

Mary, did you paint it the color on the right - the toasty? good that you keep busy! Somehow the fancier lighting detracted from the other elements too much.

Grover may want to slap me til my head spins, but I think the mantle needs painting! Too yellowish brown...a grayish brown mo bettah. Maybe even a dark gray glaze over what you have now? Distressed a bit? Neigh?

Your family room looks put together. I think the ceiling fan in there is good too. It's mod and decorative. As for that big black chandy which plays Bach fugues when you turn it on, it's going to be the first thing people notice about the room. Is that what you want.?

Now you've got me looking at chandeliers instead of preparing dinner! I found some with animal prints but you don't want the cats fighting with the zebras. I'm including a pic of a bent wood light just to see how that might go with your jungle-like elements in the bath. (By the way, I posted the musical Bach piece quite a while ago @Grover but no one picked up on it. Nothing worse than a joke that goes south!)

GROVER....thought you might like to see our new additions....my husband and I agree we need to center chandy over bed but for now since we didn't have long enough chain, wire.....

I think it looks great. It will be fabulous when you get it swagged over the bed. And I'm not even a chandelier person. Do YOU like it?

I don't think anything goes over the headboard. I am a bit disturbed by the mirrored closet doors. They make the room busy. Would you be open to changing those out?

Take a look at Ikea's Pax system doors. You have to do a bit of hacking, but I used them on my laundry alcove and they look great.

I think the mirrored closet doors are "dated"...so yes on changing! I feel like our bedroom is missing something.....don't know what.....???? Color???

Accordion doors....makes me smile....I always called them Sunday School doors as that is what they pulled every Sunday morning to close off all the classroom areas.

I just moved from a house that a decorator helped me with. I had those bathroom cabinets in my kitchen, and a granite that looks a lot like your mirror. I did not want to paint the cabinets and she suggested a paint color that worked very well. It is SW Wheatgrass, an earthy green. I loved it!
