What's the finish on the floors?

What is the finish on these floors? Are they stained? Is a poly / oil / wax finish applied?

Well Emily...
Looks like nobody is going to step up...
We didn't provide the material in the photo, however if I had to guess, I'd say the floor is probably/possibly white oak in a character grade & random wide widths (perhaps 6"-9") and finished in a light to medium hand-scraped style.
Someone in an earlier post had suggested pine, however it's difficult to say in this photo... and pine isn't a hardwood nonetheless.
Was also suggested that the finish was "clear" or natural... however a slight tint may have been applied to obtain that nice, warm tone.
This look can easily be provided by some of us, in a custom prefinished format if desired.

Those are really nice mixed width floors. I also notice the distinctive circle sawn marks across several of the boards.

if they are not stained...what type of wood did you start with to get this color? and how many coats of poly do you suggest for families with children and pets, and up in new england where a mud room is essential?

3 coats of Bona "Traffic" should suffice a family with children or pets. Many floors will darken after the polyurethane is applied. I believe a white oak floor could easily be made to have this tone of wood.

I have a very similar floor in my house, and it’s a prefinished white oak with a natural, matte finish. I love it!
