Perhaps this link can give some insight. In any case, you will most likely have much more fullfillment of life after recovery. Had a knee replacement a year ago and happily back in the garden now, but successful recovery requires time, patience, and determination. The recovery exercises described here sound comparable. EP

During recovery my partner and I used 'walkie talkies' so he could continue working in the garden and shop without concern that I would need help. He was always nearby but did not have to stay within visual and vocal range. good luck! EP

We especially like the idea of walkie-talkies! Hadn.t given that a thought but will definitely use them! We have four acres of mostly woods that I can get lost in!
