sorry to hear about your missing plants....sure would tick me off if that happened in my yard...can certainly understand how you must feel. hope you can put a stop to the thievery.

that BIG nursery they were referring to was most likely Pikes that opened here a year ago. Its out on Hwy 280 east behind the Superior Grill restaurant. Pikes is a chain based in Atlanta and this B'ham store is there first venture outside of the Atlanta market and is supposed to be their largest store. Even though I'll admit I've made a few purchases there, I still prefer a few of the locally owned mom & pop nurserys here in town.

OMG, I would be so upset! I wonder if horsetail rush is going to show up in a neighbor's yard soon? I'd be tempted to put a 4-foot picket kind of fence (not a solid panel like yours is) around it to help block access from the street. Or darn if I wouldn't be considering one of those small security cameras that you can hook up to your VCR nowadays. It's a shame they are pushing you towards a need for that.

Yes, it probably is Pike's that they are talking about. It is nice, much of their plant area is covered and shaded for more pleasant shopping.

Deb I sure am sorry to hear about your loss but lawd have mercy if anything HAD to be stolen then the thief DESERVES horsetail rush. Even though it's an exotic looking plant I have it all in my daylily beds and it's a giant PITA. Almost as obnoxious as Clerodendrum bungei. If you need more I can send you all you want!

Hey Deb - I still have several pots of the horsetail grass i got from you - do you need some of it back?! :)

I may be coming that way later this month (June) for a ball tournament - just don't know right now. I will let you know if i do - need to get you those clothes too.

Been out planting this afternoon - decided to quit watering the plants in the shade in pots - could water them just as easy in the ground!

Just started raining - doubt it lasts but we can sure hope.
