I have been growing the same combination in the same garden area for several years and have had no problems, and I have rotated their locations in the garden annually. If anyone HAS had problems with diseases or other pests I would also like to hear about it.

I group the onions together, but garlic gets it own row because we need that much for a year. So, two permanent beds get rotated into alliums each year. As long as the different onions are grouped together, it works well. Garlic comes in first, followed by bulb onions, nest onions and shallots.
