I have only a small number of elephant garlics planted, so each one is precious to me.

One of them has a broken stalk--about halfway to the top. Possibly my DH, the mailman, or some other delivery man got hung up on it. Might not even have realized it.

Is it a goner? Should I remove the broken part? Harvest it now and make a meal of it?
