I want to plant some hens&chicks and sedum in a small rock garden but I was confused on what soil to use.

I did a search on this forum and got a few good recipes but I'm confused on what some of these soils are:

Loam - Can I just use Miracle grow garden soil?

grit - ?

Coarse sand - the only sand I can find in pavers sand.
