wow those did well. my candy are planted 6" on center and i harvest about 58-62 onions having planted 64 plants each year. i get about 40-42 pounds of candy iirc. this year they are smaller due to really lousy weather i thought but my copra are larger then normal this year having just been pulled last week. i doubt i'll have 40 pounds of candy.

i dug the candy today before more monsoon starts this afternoon for another 48 hours. they actually sized up ok only 1 was about 1 1/2" the rest were about 5-6". it has been constantly cloudy and raining so without sun, maybe we have had sun 30% of the time, and literally double to triple the rain each month, i expected a poor crop. i have never seen such a wet, cool, sunless summer as this. global warming? ha!
