I would like to move scallions to another garden. I sowed seed in the spring and they are still growing. Apparently people harvest and divide in the spring after they overwinter. How can I move my scallions this fall? Should I clip the stalks? Should I dry them out? Should I try to keep the roots intact and transplant?
