It reminds me of something that when I lived in the Upper Catskills had the colloquial name of May Phlox. Darned if I can remember the botanical name or any of the other more common ones, but I think Dames Rocket might be one you would know. If it is the same plant it will bloom about 24 - 36" high, it does well in full sun to part shade. And in some states it is listed as invasive. It has beautiful purple or pink flowers with some scent. Lovely plant. I'm sorry it's problematic in some places. This is a short-lived perennial.

I Googled dame's rocket + image and there are a lot of pics of it. There's one that shows the leaves too and I think that's what you've got. The difference between dame's rocket and tall garden phlox is the former has 4 petals and the phlox flowers have 5. Also, the DR has a heavenly fragrance.

Looks like Chinese Forget me not - Cynoglossum ambile

Do the leaves feel kind a soft with very, very fine, short fuzz?

Looks like Dame's Rocket to me. It is a beautiful flowering plant, but invasive in my area. Strict control is required.

I thought cynoglossum, too.

Token I dont know if this helps. But this is a pic of my Garden Phlox Franz Schubert. Looks a little similar, but I am just not sure.

I have Dame's Rocket. It's not that for sure. It could be a phlox, I did sow several kinds. I don't recall sowing seeds of Chinese Forget Me Nots, but I did sow the annual variety. The leaves do feel sort of velvety. Kind of like they've got baby powder on them. I guess when it blooms I'll know for sure. The hunks have gotten huge over the past two weeks. They surprised me while I was searching for a spot to plant out something else.
