I tried it few years ago. Here in zone 6 it is kind of hard t grow them. Leaves should look similar to regular beans leaf. You can see picture of it on "SeedsofIndia".

I have been growing cluster beans for more than a decade.
It is too early to sow the seeds in garden soil at this time.First week of June is good time to sow the cluster beans.You will harvest the beans few times before the frost kills the plant.

Between 15 to 20 plants.Sow the seeds 6 inches apart in first week of June.Plants grow (here) 3 to 5 feet tall.I sow 3 seeds in 1 inch deep pit.Plants do branch out but not in a compact fashion.Stems may need some support as the plants grow taller.You will harvest enough for family of four(in my experience) in about 8 to 10 days assuming that plants are growing well.Fertilize with 10-10-10 every 2 to 3 weeks.
