Congrats on your exam Chaz. I do enjoy your blooms. They're all so lovely. I have a few blooms to share, too, but I don't want to steal your thread, so I will start a new one!

Xuan, you can jump on my threads anytime. That's one of the things I love about this forum, we all share!!! LOL

Cindeea, teach me how to make cuttings of Lady M and it's yours. I have not had success with passi cuttings. I'm actually only planting white wedding outside this year, they attract way to many wasps in this area, not just any wasps either, but the kind that get very defensive about their plants!!! Couldn't walk past them without getting threatened by wasps darting at my face. White wedding will go in an out of the way spot that needs some color, and Lady M will stay inside. The orchid is still a small plant if it gets divided you're the first!

Jodik, if you've looked in here, this orchid may be one you'd like it takes cold temps in the winter but need bright sun, it's kept on the south side of the sunroom, full sun year round. When I can get to the tag I'll let you know the name. Got it for about $14 @ Christmas Tree shops (a chain store) about 3 years ago.

O.K. finally got to the orchid tag: Iwanagaara Apple Blossom 'Fantastic' is the ID Tag and
L'ORCHIDEA is the grower tag that was attached to the pot. This orchid took temps into the upper 30's F these past few winters and was kept very dry as well. It has flowered each spring for me.

So you have two very different "Apple blossoms" blooming! Very, very pretty!

Wow, isn't it great to be able to relax and look around you at your beautiful blooms now! YOu deserve some flower refreshment for your spirit!

I hope you faught off that cold. Mine has me in its grips and is shaking me around by the scruff of my neck this morning.

But, we got our taxes done last night and now I Can have time to play with my flowers! I see my ammi seedlings are putting up nice little green blades in their pots. That is so nice to see!

Oh my, I am so sore from my first real garden digging work following my knee replacement almost 2 months ago! Lots of things to get stretched out and working again. The sun is shining this week and I am running so far behind with this cold spring and my surgery!

Chaz, I am horrible at Passie cuttings! I have a friend who makes it so simple, but alas, her Lady M died on me because I forgot to bring it in from the cold. Supposedly, you can take a cutting, remove a bunch of lower leaves, dampen and dip 3+ leaf nodes in rooting hormone and it will root. Keep the cutting well moist, warm and shaded until it forms roots. So I have been told! It may look like it's dead and loose all leaves, but as long as the stem is green, it is still living and trying to grow roots. Thanks for the efforts. In the meantime, I will get some plumeria sticks ready for you. You DO know what to do with THEM, right? If not, I will root them for you. I have a NOID Wine, Aztek Gold, Miami Rose and another NOID Pink and Pudica Bridal Veil. Have you rooted them before? Easy as pie.

Cindeea! I'll do my best on the passi. I don't have room for that many plumies!!! Maybe the Aztek gold and either the wine or miami rose? The weather is getting ripe for shipping here and I have a couple of epi cutting to send, I have a list of what ever it was I was sending you. We'll chat later about that. Thanks. I've rooted plumies before they take forever until the summer really warms up here, then they get going.

Hi Chaz! I'm finally looking in on this thread! Every time I get set to go through all the posts and see what everyone has in bloom, something comes up and I end up having to walk away from my computer! Larry is in the process of putting together a new screaming machine for me! This one is such a dinosaur... it limps along, and is so frustrating! So, every time I sit down, he's gotta reboot or do something... I'm just thrilled to be getting a new computer!

First of all, I'm very happy that you did well on your exams! You must feel both proud and relieved! Proud to have studied hard and done well... and relieved that exams are over!

Next, all your blooming plants are gorgeous! They always are! I'd kill for a sun room like yours! The options it allows you are fabulous!

The orchid is a Cattleya of some kind? It's very pretty! Apple Blossom is always a beauty, and Aphrodite is one of my favorite doubles! The Easter Lily is very nice, and I can almost smell the scent! That will be nice planted out in the garden! Will you pollinate it? It looks like it's begging to give seed pods!

The Passiflora is just gorgeous! What a color! How do you keep them from getting lanky and stretched over winter? My Mandevilla vine is in horrible shape from the winter's weak sun, and I'm afraid I'll have to chop it back quite drastically to cure the spindly little growth it acquired over the colder months. If I can successfully grow it to bloom outdoors this summer, I'll keep it going over the winters... but if it doesn't do well for me, I think I'll give it to someone who can care for it better, and keep the space for a bulb pot.

It's almost spring here! Just few short weeks until I can start really getting into gardening! I'm already starting to get into the swing, potting up early arrivals that really should have shipped mid-April instead of now... and very soon, I can begin to rake the accumulated leaves off the flower beds and plant a ton of seeds... and I've got over-wintered shrubs and perennials to get in the ground...

It's fairly safe to ship by Priority Mail now, as long as the recipient knows a package is coming... regular mail should probably wait another couple of weeks, just in case...

Is it me, or did this past winter seem longer? I thought warmer weather would never get here!

Thanks for sharing, Chaz! Oh, did I mention I got a Cymbidium? It's near blooming size, and I'm hoping that after a chill from next fall's weather, it'll decide to spike and bloom! I had no idea that Cyms were fairly easy to grow, or that they came in such a massive variety of shapes and colors! I'm so hooked!
