First picture: How big was the root ball on the plant you got from your friend? When you dig bamboo, you should do your best to take a good-size root ball, disturb the roots as little as possible, and get it in the ground fast to prevent drying of the root system. That first photo looks like a plant that was planted with very little undisturbed root mass and is dying.

Second picture: Could be just some seasonal leaf loss, although overall it doesn't look entirely happy.

Third picture: Brown tips are sometimes the result of over-watering.

More info on all of these would be helpful. How long have you had them? How carefully were they dug? What do you do for watering? Etc....

The first one reminds me of when I tried to transplant some bamboo and it go wind burned on the drive home. Eventually it put out new leaves.

Try misting the leaves of the newly transplanted bamboo. It might help save it.
