i have it, good if you want a tall growing unique banana,

i hear they have a very good vanilla taste similar to ice cream banana, never tried it but i generally prefer fruitier tasting bananas

because of their unique fruit you have to use a knife to separate them.

Did your tree actually produce fruit, and you didnt try it? Or you just have never tried it in general? It looks fairly easy to separate, but it might be a bit of work. And the 'vanilla' flavor is what I am hoping to get out of my Ice cream one, that I ordered.
I know it has to be separated in order to eat it. Thats what makes it so unique:). I am hoping to make it my next banana tree purchase. Yes I love TALL bananas, I want HUGE trees, nothing tiny. The ones I have ordered are all the tall or giant varieties of the ones I bought. I want them for the tropical look, I am in Fla. after all, and for the big fruit you can get from the big trees. Are there small ones that produce BIG hands of fruit?

For what you paid for your ice cream @ banana tree, you are going to be disapointed in its size. You wanting large bananas. You should have bought from going bananas short drive no shipping and much larger plant. By the way you would be amazed how big a banana will grow in a 3 inch pot for 4.99 @ northern tropics you can not go wrong. I have bought from all of these suppliers. Now take a deep breath and be nice. Just trying to help. Also going bananas will let you taste the fruit if on hand. Usually have plenty.

Brian....I did buy my banana trees from 'Going Bananas'...I am waiting to see what arrives,before I buy more. Dont know why you think I went to buy small plants for $5. I want fruit this season or next,not maybe 3 years. I want BIG pups in the mail. I MIGHT try the smaller ones to get a variety that i want to try, but am not sure about, like 'Praying Hands'. If the banana tree just decides to NOT fruit a certain year, I have to wait another season. Just because they are old/big enough to fruit, doesn't mean they WILL fruit that season.
