Shelley, I don't know where you are, but if there is a local dealer that carried Kentwood, ask to borrow some sample boards and bring them into your space to see what looks best with your room/house. You might have to go back and forth a couple of times, taking more samples, but it's best to do your homework thoroughly before making such a big decision. Thank you for the kind comments. Refer to this photo with your inquiry and let Kentwood flooring know I referred you. The flooring was site finished white oak, bleached then gray washed. We also make something similar. Its a White Oak floor with an Oiled/Wax finish. We could go even lighter on the color too.

We found a similar floor that we installed in our condo (below) from LV Hardwood in Manhattan. Thanks everyone for your comments and suggestions.
