Hi,

I'm new to the forum. I recently became a homeowner and am having a great time planting fruit trees, especially bananas. I have one spot left for a dwarf banana and am looking for suggestions on what variety to get. I'd like to get a variety that I don't already have. In the last few months I've planted the following varieties:

dwarf Brazilian

dwarf Jamaican red

dwarf Orinoco

dwarf Cavendish

Goldfinger

Manzano (identity uncertain -- it was a gift from a friend's yard)

I also intend to plant a Misi Luki.

I am left with one open spot that would accommodate a variety that doesn't get more than 8' or so. I'd prefer something with a flavor more like the "apple bananas" I've eaten in Hawaii and Tahiti (which I've been told are probably actually dwarf Brazilian) than like the regular old Cavendish flavor.

Anyone have any suggestions on dwarf varieties that might do well for

me in Ventura, CA? Dwarf Namwah or Rajapuri seem like possibilities.
