My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.
Reminds me of my four o'clocks. I have a beast with a 1.5 inch stem laying flat on the ground. From each "knuckle" a whole plant is growing straight up! I'l love to see my bamboo showing such vigorous growth.
I was going to throw this out on a new thread but it concerns the "whipshoots", so i'm throwing it out here. I feel that what i potted up the other day is exactly that. when i moved that division of Arrow there were alot of whip shoots(certainly looks like that is what they were). i got around a foot of rhizome along with the shoot and put them in pots. Is potting up the whip shoots along with some of the rhizome a viable way to get pots of your bamboo? Only asking because i just don't know. I didn't want to just throw them out. so i did what i did. you can see the pics in my dolly post...I'm guessing i will be lucky if they take.
Did the whips have any roots? I've done divisions on whips but have only had success if they have good roots attached. They also need to be kept well watered during the initial shock.
Maybe some of the more expreienced members (Hoosier52?) can add to this, or correct me if I'm wrong.
Here is a nother picture from today (daylight) I really need a new camera :( photo quality is not that great.
Yes Don, I planted in pots the whipshoots that had rhizomes. I got some with about a foot or so. I had to curl them into the pot then add the soil. One pot was bent out of shape because of the size of the rhizome. All new for me. they looked better this morning before i came in to work.
