I would like to move 2 hives about 40 feet so they will get more sun especially in winter. Can I just move them to the new location or must I use the 2 feet/2 miles rule of thumb. If I move them at night fall all will be back home. Would the field bees really not re-orientate themselves to the slightly new location the next day?
