You should take it out of the bucket of water and plant it in a pot. When pups are first separated, they tend to shut down for a few weeks until the roots begin to grow again. Water when the soil is dry. Start with about 50% sun and gradually increase it's exposure. Don't over water.

I did take it out of the bucket of water the next day and planted it and it seems to be doing ok so far.
I will follow your advice on it's care.

ya just put it ground if you live in warm climate. make sure it is deeply compacted and full of soil. then let sit for a few weeks and it should we wilted from the hot sun and transplant shock, chop the old dead leaves and if any green leafs remain after two three weeks you could leave them. if there is no leaves worth keeping just chop it at a pretty good height.
