daylight, or not!

Bamboo does not always go to light and moisture. My viridis traveled 6 feet, then went between the 2 stacked concrete pads under my a.c. I pried up the top pad, retrieved, and re-directed the rhizome. This morning I looked under the house and saw a dolphin rhizome of henon 6 feet under. If I dig this up and replant the rhizome will it grow?
