I have a large pond, about 12 x 30 ft. It's fed by a small spring I think, rain, and run-off. About 10 years ago we put in a retaining wall on our bay front, blocking the exit of the pond. It gets very full in the heavy rains we have, but can go almost dry in a dry summer. It gets lots of algae, has frogs and mosquito fish in it, trees and shrubs around it. Iris grows well on the edges. There are two dams across the pond with buried pipe for overflow The water moves very slowly, but the level does go down eventually.

So can I put bog plants anywhere in the pond?
