I finally dug a small bog garden, its about 6 feet long 4 ft wide and kidney shaped. It is only about 12-15" deep as this area is red clay that previously had an above ground pool on it. Talk about HARD ! I dug out-put down a layer of black plastic, allowing for some natural runoff to be able to collect here. some clay, soil, peat moss and composted cow poop in the area.

Since, I have a plastic bottom and it is not very deep I assume that will limit the kind of plants I can put in there. Any suggestions?
