I have the same brand range in a 36" and it is very comfortable for me. Wall ovens can be configured higher up - but a cook top/wall (double or single) ovens takes up more kitchen space than a single range. If space is not an issue for you and you are concerned about range ovens being too low - then I would opt for the cook top with wall ovens configuration. Either way - Viking brand is my favorite.

Other brands that are worth considering for a nice range or wall oven include: Dacor, JennAir, Bertazonni and Wolff. I also recommend a great brand produced mostly in italy called Verona. They have ranges that begin around $2500

Wall ovens are definitely better for taller chefs. For anyone 5'8" or less, a range's ovens should be just fine with a little bend of the legs. For some, the commercial look of a range is worth the stooping and back pain.

If you're considering paying Viking prices, consider higher performance options from Capital Culinarian or Bluestar's RNB series, a little less expensive than Viking.
